WTF?

(Future) weird real record alert: I wonder if this one will be yellow?

While polyvinyl chloride will remain the raw material for vinyl records for the foreseeable future, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only thing from which records can be made. People have experimented with wood, ice, and even hash resin. You can also press various substances into vinyl records like, say, blood or the cremated ashes of a loved one.

Then we have the Flaming Lips.

Back in 2012, they got into the blood-in-a-record game for a Record Store Day release which included the precious bodily fluid of Chris Martin, Kesha and Erykah Badu, among others.

Next on Wayne Coyne’s mind is a record by Miley Cyrus and the Dead Petz. Speaking with The NME, Coyne said “We’d get a good amount of Miley’s pee and mix it with some glitter and put that in. I think that would up the ante. Don’t you?”

Miley and the Lips have always had a weird sort of relationship that goes back years. And you know she’d be up for it, right?
