Hear some ancient music from one of Dave Grohl’s pre-Nirvana bands

Before Dave Grohl ended up in Nirvana, he was in a bunch of different groups. Scream. Dain Bramage. Fast. Freak Baby.

Also on that list was Mission Impossible, one of Dave’s high school bands in which he played drums. The band played around the DC area for a while–this would be about 1985–before disintegrating.

Back in 2014, a documentary entitled Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC, chronicled that period in the city. The soundtrack has now been remastered by filmmaker Scott Crawford and is set to for released on December 10.

Among the bands contributing material is Mission Impossible. Let’s give it a listen.
