Let’s unpack the Tenacious D-Donald Trump situation in Australia

Well, this is a kerfuffle full of malarkey that has resulted in an international donnybrook, isn’t it?

During Tenacious D’s tour of Australia, Kyle Gass (nope, it wasn’t Jack Black) made a crack onstage in Sydney (July 14) when he was presented with a birthday cake. “Make a wish,” said Jack. Kyle responded “Don’t miss Trump next time.”

This didn’t go over well with some.

First, a right-wing politician named Ralph Babet demanded that Tenacious D be immediately deported. Then Gass was dropped by his agent. And now all the remaining dates on the Australian tour have been cancelled.
