So How Many Pearl Jam Drummers Will Show Up for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Not All of Them, That’s for Sure

When it was announced that Pearl Jam was to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, there was some controversy because only the five current members–including current drummer Matt Cameron–would be onstage to accept the honour. But then last week, the band had a change of heart and decided to extend an invitation to those drummers who had also served: Dave Krusen, Matt Chamberlain, Dave Abbruzzese and Jack Irons.

Nice. This is consistent with Pearl Jam’s all-for-one-one-for-all attitude. But it doesn’t look like we’re going to see five drummers onstage April 7.

Matt Chamberlain–that’s him in the video for “Alive”–says he won’t be there but that he appreciates the shout-out. Jack Irons has yet to respond publicly on his participation. Dave Krusen? No idea. And this appeared on Dave Abbruzzese’s Facebook page. Was there an actual invitation in the first place>
