Navigation app Waze will now help you get to the gig faster and on time

Waze is a pretty nifty Google-owned app that works great when you’re trying to navigate your way through traffic. I use it all the time, especially in rush hour.

The company has just teamed up with Bandsintown, a gig-discovery service to offer real-time travel information for both fans and artists. Trying to get to the gig in time for load-in? Waze can help artists. Wanna get to the show in time to see the opening act? Waze will give you the quickest route based on the current traffic conditions.

The trick is that you have to use Bandsintown to buy tickets to the show. Once you do that, you hit the Plan Trip button within Waze on the event page. You can also access appropriate music within Waze to get you pumped for the gig.

Could he helpful, especially on those nights when traffic is a nightmare or when you’re off to see a gig in an unfamiliar town or at a new venue.
