Ongoing History Daily: When Duff met Kurt

When Duff McKagan was with Guns N’ Roses, he had a chance meeting with a guy named Kurt Cobain.  On April 2, 1994, Duff was flying home to Seattle on Delta flight 788.  Ahead of him, in seat 2F was Kurt, who had just broken out of a rehab centre in LA.  They talked a little and Duff couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong.

When they landed, Duff and his friend Eddie thought about giving Kurt a ride home and maybe a place to crash for the night.  But Kurt had already arranged a ride and decided to go it alone.  Three days later, he was dead.

Makes you wonder what might have happened had Kurt accepted that offer from Duff that night.
