Ontari-ar-ri-ar-ri-o’s Official Canada 150 Indie Rock Song is Out! Listen.

With Canada getting ready to celebrates its 150th birthday in 2017–learn to use the word “sesquicentennial” in a sentence–the various initiatives are starting to be unveiled.

The Ontario 150 crew commissioned a modern version from a Toronto indie band called Ginger Ale & the Monowhales. The French bit is sung by Samantha Martel, frontperson for Pin Up. The updated version was revealed this week in Ottawa.
