Shall we do it again? The Elon Musk dumpster fire, Friday edition

Has anyone ever burned down company this quickly? A reminder: Elon Musk paid US$44 BILLION for Twitter. And he’s pissing it all away.

What’s it like to get fired from Twitter?

This. Wow. Can you be any more insensitive?

The grey “OFFICIAL” check is back.

If grey is the new blue, what’s the point of buying a blue checkmark for $8/month? The mocking has been relentless. Love the chaos this has created.

Executives continue to bail

Yesterday, Twitter lost its chief information offices, chief privacy officer, and chief compliance officer. Meanwhile, corporate communications is a shitshow.

No more work-from-home for the remaining staff

Musk announced that everyone has to come back to the office for at least 40 hours a week. That came in an email at 2:39 am. Read it here. I’ll bet that everyone is excited to come into work…

…especially since Musk is warning that the company could go bankrupt

Ya think? And whose fault is that? Could it be that this is Elon’s goal? Going into bankruptcy might allow him to rearrange that $44 billion debt he took on to buy the company.

Then again, he might face billions in fines regardless

The Securities and Exchange Commission is watching the situation closely. It wants Musk to know that he’s not above the law.

Wow. Stunningly incompetent.

Finally, Elon faces a US$56 billion lawsuit from a metal drummer

His name is Richard Tornetta. He’s suing Musk for…well, I’m not entirely sure how this sort of suit works. But he’s asking for US$56 billion.
