Spotify has issued another year-end report: The state of artists on the platform

As part of a continuing series of year-end posts, Spotify has some stats for artists who used the service in 2020.

  • More than 60,000 artists hit the milestone of having more than 100,000 monthly listeners. That’s up 42% from 2019.
  • 6,500 artists who released music on Spotify for the first time this year hit 100,000 monthly listers. That’s up 180% form 2019.
  • 64,000 artists were added to Spotify’s in-house playlists.
