The last Sam the Record Man is closing.

At one time, there were Sam the Record Man locations across the country. But in 2001, the chain filed for bankruptcy and all the stores closed by 2007. Except one.

There was one solitary Sam the Record Man in Belleville, Ontario, in the Quinte Mall. It has managed to survive. Until now. The owners dropped this post on Facebook.

If there’s good news, it’s that this is due to a retirement, not any issue with the store. The bad news is that the store will soon be gone regardless. Might be time for a roadtrip.
