The Oasis ticket scams have begun in North America. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.

Have you ever wondered how tickets for a hot show seem to go on sale before they actually go on sale? A secondary seller or some other website/post will declare that it has tickets for a gig days before the on-sale date. How is that possible?

Short answer: It’s not. These are known as “speculative ticket sales.” What this means is that the seller confidently believes that they will have access to these tickets once they go on sale. There are a variety of methods these resellers get their tickets (that’s a long discussion that involves everything from bots to seat license fees to plenty of shady practices), but despite what it may look like, they do not have them in hand even though they’re advertising they do.

In other words, it’s a shaky IOU.

This is the situation with Oasis tickets for the August 24, 2025, show in Toronto. It’s also the same across North America. More than 9,000 of these evanescent tickets have been discovered so far. It’s so bad that the National Independent Venue Association in the US has penned a letter to Congress demanding that someone look into this deceptive marketing practice.

Let’s be clear: As of today–Wednesday, October 2–not a single Oasis ticket has been sold yet nor is a single ticket available for sale. Yet resales sites are already overflowing with offers. Many say things like “Selling fast!” in hopes of pressuring people to hand over their money.

Look what Vividseats is offering. None of these tickets are real.

SeatGeek and StubHub are making similar promises with prices reaching upwards of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS. There are even sites selling “tickets” that don’t even have a map of the new Rogers Stadium at Downsview because it hasn’t been built yet and they haven’t even bothered to source any schematics.

The only official and safe way to buy real tickets tomorrow (when the pre-sales start) and Friday (the general on-sale date) is to go through Ticketmaster. Oh, and pre-sale registration has already closed.
