The One Minute Music Book Club. Finding Jim by Rebecca Johnston

Rock’n’roll novels can be fiendishly difficult to write because you need to find the right tone and voice, plus make sure you get the facts righter regarding of how the business works.

Rebecca J. Johnston is an English professor in Exeter who came up with a buddy/roadtrip movie about a couple of fired college professors looking to prove (or disprove) that Jim Morrison is still alive. Finding Jim is funny, dark, and entertaining–even if you’re not a fan of The Doors.
