There was another stage collapse at a European festival

No one was hurt, but it could have been awful had work at the Alien Sound Festival in Naples not been suspended due to wild weather, specifically high winds.

The EDM and Latin music event at a former NATO base in Bagnoli was scheduled to take place over the weekend (July 4 and 5). But when the main stage was being built…

Imagine if the stage area was in use at the time of the collapse.

Other structures were also damaged or blown down. Organizers initially said that the event would go ahead, but local authorities stepped in and said, “Uh-uh. No you ain’t!” (but in Italian).
