There’s no change in the lead. Sales of vinyl are in the lead and will probably stay that way for the rest of 2025. Wild, huh? Here are the latest numbers on Canadian CD and vinyl sales via Luminate.

  • CDs sold in Canada last week: 27,431 (down 7.4% from last week)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada last week: 32,301 (down 13.3% from a week ago)
  • CDs sold in Canada so far this year: 202,2025 (up 0.9% from a year ago)
  • Vinyl sold in Canada so far this year: 233,511 (up 15.3% from this point in 2024)

Here are the latest streaming numbers:

  • Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,724,321,381 (down 2.5% from a week earlier)
  • Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 19,349,649,798 (up 6.5% from this point in 2024)
