Okay, so I forgot to post this Monday evening when MRC/Nielsen sent out the email. Let’s get caught up on what happened with Canadian music sales and streaming from last week.

Year-over-year stats:

Total album sales, -28.4%
CD sales, -48.2%
Digital albums, -19.7%
Digital tracks, -25.1%
Vinyl LPs, +24.3%
On-demand audio streams, +10.7%

Now comparing things week-over-week:

Total album sales, -1.6%
CD sales, +0.5%
Digital albums, -6.0%
Digital tracks, -1.7%
Vinyl LPs, +4.1%
On-demand audio streams, +2.3% (1.832 billion streams in the country last week)
