What if Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” was sung by a woman?

One of the more popular videos of the DLR era of Van Halen was “Hot for Teacher” from the 1984 album. Yeah, it’s pretty sexist, but that’s what VH was all about, right?

Now imagine this: Flipping the situation around so the object of lust was a male substitute teacher. This is what we just got from The Bird and the Bee, who have contributed a track to Interpreting the Masters Volume 2: A Tribute to Van Halen, which is due August 2.

For this version, Greg Kurstin and Inara George tapped Beck to-play the role of the hot teacher. Listen.
