And the Winner of the Air Miles DETOUR Contest Is…

Earlier this year, I was part of the Air Miles Detour contest which pitted five small Canadian communities against each other in a race to see which could pile up the most Air Miles points. People from across Canada choose which town–Nelson BC, Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, Mulmur, Ontario, Morin Heights, Quebec, and Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia–would benefit from their Air Miles voting. The winner would get a Meghan Trainor concert–something a small town off the standard touring track would ever see.

After all the dust settled, the winner was Port Hawkesbury. As part of a separate Air Miles contest–the Big Break competition–Paul Woida from Edmonton will also play the event.

Here’s a mini-doc on Port Hawkesbury…

…and here’s the winning entry from Paul Woida.
