YYC Music Awards Now Taking Submissions
Calgary and area musicians can now enter submissions to the YYC music awards and have until May 31 to do so. The second Annual Gala takes place on September 24th at The Palace Theatre.
For those interested in submitting material, here are the eligibility requirements:
Any submissions must have been recorded between March 1, 2016 and February 28, 2017.
For YYC Music Award purposes, release date refers to the date of first shipment to retail, radio, or posted online release date. Proof of online transaction or shipment may be requested and applies to all submissions. Categories excluded from this requirement are People’s Choice and Zackariah and the Prophets.
Artists must live within a 125km radius of the City of Calgary.
A $5 per category fee is required this year.
