Alexisonfire is Back Together

Well, that didn’t take long, did it? What was supposed to be a series of reunion gigs for some decent paydays and RRSP top-ups has turned into a full-blown resurrection. I quote Alexisonfire’s Wade McNeil from the stage at Riot Fest in Toronto this weekend:

Thank you for believing in this band when we couldn’t even believe in this bandThank you for sticking with us. We promise to never leave you again. No more sentimental shit. Alexisonfire is officially back.

And it’s no reasonable facsimile of the band, either.  It’s George Pettit, Chris Steele, Wade MacNeil, Dallas Green and Jordan ‘Ratbeard’ Hastings, the same guys that played those farewell games in 2012.

Wade has been working as the evening announcer on 102.1 the Edge Toronto for nearly a year. Will his radio career have to wait? We’ll see.
