Another Sign That the Smart Speaker Market is Exploding

It may take a while, but you get used to talking to your devices. Siri and Google Assistant are must-haves when you’re driving. Amazon’s Alexa is rocking the US market with Google Home products not far behind. Sonos has jumped into the game and Apple will soon release the HomePod. And let’s not forget that facebook is said to be working on a smart speaker, too.

The latest addition to the marketplace is Yoto, a smart speaker designed just for kids. But instead of using a microphone for voice commands, it requires cards–remember the old computer punchcards? Kinda like that–that kids can use to play stories, music, radio stations and basically force them through some educational experiences. Take a look at their Kickstarter program.
