This Is COOL! Google’s Music Timeline Visualizations

Google has a new page they called Music Timeline, which is a visualization tool that uses data from their streaming service, Google Play Music.  Using this tool, you can see what artists and genres have come and gone in terms of popularity over the decades.  All you have to do to get started is enter an artist’s name or album in the search box.

Be prepared to stay a while.  There’s lots to digest here.
