Courtney Love has apologized for lashing out at Dave Grohl and Trent Reznor earlier this week
Ms Love has had a long and tumultuous relationship with various social media platforms with some posts resulting in legal issues for her. That’s why Courtney fans were a little concerned about a now-deleted Instagram post from earlier this week that had Dave Grohl and Trent Reznor as targets. Some quotes:
“Three months before I left LA, I signed a document that effectively gives Dave [Grohl] (and Krist [Novoselic]) my descendants money in perpetuity. I was so broken. So scarred, so exhausted by him, I just fucking signed it. But it’s a lie. So I’m unsigning it. Because it’s nonsense. The chaos and fury over Kurt’s death being directed at me, deflected by Dave, while he enriched and continues to enrich himself, gorging on Kurt’s fortune and Kurt’s goodwill. 27! Years!!! I’ve had enough.”
Then she moved on to Trent:
“As for Reznor, At least? HE’S talented but still a creep. I’ve never seen so much systemic abuse of kids, girls as young as 12, by him and his crew, we all (the members of Hole) witnessed it. So while these two jack asses are not my #metoo’s because I’m saving my 1 up (because we only get 1) they’re darn close. “#fuckoff @treznor @nineinchnails @foofighters I really hope my example of standing up to them, putting a stop to them, will prevent any other women (or men) from this soul shattering level of personal and cultural abuse in future. Sexually, spiritually, financially.. #metoo #me3 #me88 etc etc ad nauseam. #blessed? Yeah to be breathing long enough to tell the tale. I’m cramming as much into every song as I can. Wow, huh? But now there’s this post on Instagram.

I have always hoped Courtney would be able to find the happiness she deserves. Only for the selfish reason that I’d LOVE to see Hole playing 2,000 – 3,000 capacity venues every couple of years on a proper tour! Looking at a Hole gig history… 3 shows in last ten years?
She said some real shit in those posts and I honestly don’t know what to believe because I have no clue what the truth is. I’m assuming there are kernels of reality in what she initially said so…
1. Was Dave recently pressuring her for Nirvana money or rights? Still? And wouldn’t that be all stuff handled through a team of lawyers?
2. You can’t take that Trent stuff back with an apology, she either slandered him or I don’t even want to think about it.
She’s been at it with them both for years. For that matter she’s had on and off issues with a lot of people over the years. She’s known for saying horrible things about people in the press. As far as the metoo thing. That’s rich coming from a woman who has made a living off of proudly and loudly using sex to get what she wants since before she was in the spotlight. When she first met Kurt she insisted that he declare on a televised live performance that “Courtney Love is the best f*ck in the world!”. She just wanted the world to hear her name and let it be known that she was hooked up with him. Now that the metoo movement is here she’s latched on as if she hadn’t made her name with her self appointed “kinder whore” style. What a hypocrite.
She is showing her true colors again. This sounds exactly like her. To say, that Dave Grohl “continues to enrich himself, gorging on Kurt’s fortune and Kurt’s goodwill.” is a stretch. She should take a look in the mirror and see who has been “gorging” on Kurt’s fortune. It’s a shame he never had a chance to divorce her, as he was planning to, before he tragically died.
