Donald Trump Lands Performers for his Inauguration (But Paul Anka and the Springsteen Tribute Band Pull Out)

After many refusals, the organizers for Donald Trump’s inauguration have landed some performers for the event. They include:

  • Lee Greenwood, Toby Keith, Marty Roe (of Diamond Rio), Larry Stewart (Restless Heart) and Tim Rushlow will represent the country folk. (Greenwood says performers who pull out or refuse the invitation are making a mistake.)
  • Jennifer Holliday covers off Broadway (but says that her performance is for “the people of America” and not Donald Trump.) UPDATE: No, wait. She’s out.
  • 3 Doors Down is the event’s rock band. Here’s their Instagram post.

By the way, Paul Anka is now out. He won’t be performing a custom version of “My Way” for The Donald because…well, just go here. And Marie Osmond? She’s out, too.

UPDATE: The B-Street Band, the Springsteen tribute band, has also pulled out.

Finally, these celebs have their own musical response to the Trump presidency.
