What’s the body count in the Syrian civil war now?  Over 200,000? Yet as President and Thug-in-Chief Bashar al-Assad wages war against his own people and as various factions fight each other, some things continue on as usual. Like the need for young people to make music.

A new rockumentary, Syrian Metal Is War, shows how young people are using music to not only cope with the hellishness of living in Syria but as a way of maintaining some sort of dialogue with each other.
