Here’s the Kind of Music Video You Can Shoot on an iPhone 6

It wasn’t that long ago that the typical budget for shooting a music video started at $100,000. Superstars–think Michael Jackson–could spend well into the nine figures on a single clip.

But that was in the glory days of MTV and MuchMusic. Shifting audience priorities (not to mention YouTube) killed that. Now a $50,000 video budget is considered generous.

Then again, you don’t need a lot to make a great looking video. Video gear–from cameras to editing software to laptops–is dirt cheap, meaning that the barrier to entry is extremely low. Hell, an iPhone 6S shoots 4K video, fer crissakes!
