India breaks China’s karaoke singing marathon record. This is INSANE.

It took more than 800 singers running through somewhere north of 9,000 songs, but organizers of a karaoke singing marathon in Mumbai have broken China’s world record.

The old record was 792 hours and two minutes. The Indian effort topped out at an even 1,000 hours.

To put that into perspective, that’s more than a month of constant singing. They began on November 15 and only stopped yesterday (December 18).

The whole effort supported a series of social programs including water preservation and organ donation.
