Simon Gallup quits The Cure…
…because, he says, he’s “fed up with betrayal.” He joined The Cure in 1979 originally just one bass, ducked in and out through to the mid-80s when he began sticking it out playing a variety of roles–until this past Sunday (August 15).
It started with this Facebook post.
Nothing from the band yet.
Hope everything works out….A fantastic group no end…all the dedication and hard work over the years, They’ve brought so much happiness to millions and millions of people, to which The WORLD must be GREATFUL for…and wouldn’t ever be possible without you…..hang in their….”PLEASE”…Just a GREATFUL fan..
Wishing Simon nothing but the best if this really is his intintion. The Cure will not be the same without him. THANK YOU SIMON for the decades of pleasure you have given to us thru your music ❤️
