Spotify hardware? It looks like an in-car audio device is coming April 24.

Up until now, Spotify is something that lived on your phone, tablet or desktop. Now, though, there’s a physical device that will live in your car.

The new “Discover Weekly” thingy explains why the company was looking for a someone to deal with hardware product development. Guesses were that Spotify was thinking about some kind of smart speaker, but that doesn’t quite seem to be the case.

What we’ll see is a hockey puck that hangs in the car that plays music somehow. Will it connect to your car audio? Is it a self-contained speaker? Does it have voice command capability?

We’ll apparently see on or about April 24. For now, read what details are available at Android Authority.
