There’s a new survey about which songs to have sex to

This study subject comes up every once in a while. Now we have a survey by a company called ZipHealth (a US-based online doctor site) that sought to determine the best songs for sexual encounters.

They began by searching through 11,000 songs from 150 playlists created by over a thousand people just so they could soundtrack their boinking. Why artists and songs were most popular across those playlists? Why, thank you for asking.

  • Pop music is the most popular genre, followed by hip-hop, and R&B/soul. Indie rock came in fourth while alternative placed fifth and EDM sixth. Heavy metal and classic rock were dead last
  • Country and classical did not rate at all (although Country fans were most likely to have participated in an orgy. They also are the least likely to use protection. Bad combo, people.)
  • The sexiest song? Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl.”
  • The top alt song? Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer.”
  • The Deftones ranked higher than both Kanye and The Weeknd.
  • The sexiest metal bands are System of a Down and, er, Slipknot.
  • 72% of metalheads say they have a fetish of some kind.
  • 82% of metal fans have had a one-night stand.

Now, some graphics.
