Wanna buy Kurt Cobain’s hospital gown?

Here’s a collectible that doesn’t come up for auction every day: a hospital gown once owned by Kurt Cobain

But before you think this was something Kurt wore when he was actually hospitalized, stop. This is the prop he used when Nirvana came on stage at the 1992 Reading Festival.

At the time, rumours abounded that Kurt was an invalid, completely drugged out, and in very poor health. That’s when he decided to have a little fun.

For the story on how this gown got out into the wild, go to Consequence of Sound.
