Weekly survey: Is today’s music terrible?

There’s been much written over the last six months opining on the quality of current music with the overwhelming consensus being that it’s not very good when compared to music of the past. (I go through much of that writing here.)

I once read “Every generation has the biological right to believe that the musci of their youth is the greatest music of all time.” But does that principle still hold true?

Take a moment to read that linked article and then let me know what your thoughts are.

  • There is some FANTASTIC new music coming out right now, BUT…… Anything that has a record label involved is past pathetic and terrible.

All of the great music is mostly self released. Thank god for Bandcamp, most of new artists that are actually good release their music there because record labels are too short sighted to recognize good music
