Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler Does an Awesomely Nice Thing for Ontario Man with Downs Syndrome

Steve Tyler has stepped away from Aerosmith for a bit to perform solo gigs at various casinos around the continent. He recently rolled into to Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario, to play two sold out shows.

Anthony Yorfido of nearby Welland is a massive Aerosmith fan, but was unable to get tickets for either show. But then late Thursday, he and  his mom, who works as a waitress at Fallsview, went into an area medical supply store. When they left, it was hard not to notice the big black limousine parked out front. It had been waiting there for a customer.

Yep. It was Steven Tyler.  Anthony rushed up to him and gave him a big hug, which was returned. A quick chat and backstage passes were furnished. Not only that, but Steven brought Anthony on stage for a duet on “Sweet Emotion.”

C’mon. Didn’t you just tear up a bit?

  • Yes, Steven is a really nice guy. I met him back in the late 70’s. He stayed all night listening to our band and paid for us to have a recording session at Columbia Studios, Nashville.
