Bono: “Trump Is Potentially the Worst Idea That Ever Happened to America.”

Bono is a great fan of the United States of America. He’s called it “the greatest idea the world has ever come up with.” But when it comes to Donald Trump, he’s not so sure.

During an interview with Charlie Rose shown on CBS This Morning, he said “Donald Trump is potentially the worst idea that ever happened to America. Potentially.” He goes on to say “That idea [of America] is banded up in justice and equality for all — equality and justice for all, you know.  I think he’s hijacked the party. I think he’s trying to hijack the idea of America. And I think it’s bigger than all of us. I think it’s — it’s — this is really dangerous.”

Watch that clip here. And if you have an hour, here’s the full interview.
