Green Day is giving away a car for charity

If you go back to the American Idiot album and the videos for “Holiday” and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” you may remember the Green Day’s 1968 Mercury Monterey convertible. They’ve hung on to that car for the last 20 years. Now, though, it’s time to clean out the garage.

Green Day has teamed with a children’s charity called Wheels for Wishes and Make A Wish to give the car away. It’s a bit of a junker, but it is part of Green Day history.
