It looks like Duran Duran is going to win this year’s fan voting for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

With just a few days to go in the fan voting for the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominations, no one is going to catch Duran Duran. Here’s how things shape up as of today (April 26):

  1. Duran Duran (907,000 votes)
  2. Eminem (674,000)
  3. Pat Benatar (609,000)
  4. Eurythmics (427,000)
  5. Dolly Parton (384,000, even though she doesn’t want to be voted in)

The top five artists will be included as a “fan’s ballot” that will be included with all the other official ballots from the 900+ members of the Rock Hall.

These acts fall into the also-ran category.

  • Judas Priest (354,000)
  • Carly Simon (324,000)
  • Lionel Richie (294,000)
  • Devo (217,000)
  • Kate Bush (202,000)
  • Rage Against the Machine (186,000)
  • Dionne Warwick (180,000)
  • New York Dolls (117,000)
  • Beck (97,000)
  • MC5 (91,000)
  • Fela Kuti (68,000)
