Morrissey’s Got Cancer? Sadly, Yes.
Mozzer fans have been suspicious and concerned for his health for some time now. The tour cancellations, the repeated infections, the hospital stays, his gaunt appearances–they all pointed towards something ominous. But what?
Morrissey has just come clean about having cancer to a Spanish newspaper called El Mundo:
‘They have scraped cancerous tissues four times already, but whatever. If I die, then I die. And if I don’t, then I don’t. Right now I feel good.’I am aware that in some of my recent photos I look somewhat unhealthy, but that’s what illness can do. I’m not going to worry about that, I’ll rest when I’m dead.’
“Cancerous tissue” is as specific as he’ll get. Speculation naturally leads to something with the respiratory system since Mozzer has been sidelined with those sort of infections as well as a bout of double pneumonia.
