Remember Pop-Up Video? There’s something similar now.

Pop-Up Video was a cool MTV-produced program that tried to be as educational as possible. As a video rolled, bubbles of text popped up featuring nuggets of information about the artist, the song, the album–virtually any bit of trivia that would add more context to what we were seeing and hearing.

Vevo has something similar called “Footnotes.” With Oasis’ 30th anniversary edition of Definitely Maybe looking to reach number one on the UK charts this week, Vevo offers this version of “Live Forever.” Kinda cool, no?
