The Tragically Hip’s deluxe Road Apples edition has been delayed

Uh-oh. There’s been a snag.

Hip fans were looking forward to the big Road Apples 30th-anniversary box set which was set to be released this Friday (October 15). That’s not going to happen, unfortunately. Production delays. Not surprising, really, given the supply chain issues that are running through the recorded music industry.

The good news is that the delays aren’t all that bad.

  • Nov 5 – Road Apples Deluxe digital retail. It contains Road Apples re-mastered + Saskdelphia + Hoof-Hearted (demos/alt versions)
  • Nov 12 – Road Apples Deluxe (LP + CD versions) avail physical retail. This one features Road Apples re-mastered + Saskdelphia + Hoof-Hearted (demos/alt versions) + Live At The Roxy Los Angeles, May 3, 1991
  • Nov 19 – Road Apples remastered single LP avail physical retail. This has Road Apples re-mastered on red vinyl.

Hey, this is better than what’s befallen the Nirvana 30th anniversary edition of Nevermind that contains a whack of vinyl. Instead of coming out next month, it won’t be available until late May 2022.
