The world’s most sheltered singer finally listens to David Bowie. Here’s her reaction.
Elizabeth Zharoff, the most sheltered singer in the world–she’s trained in opera–has made a nice living with these reaction videos where he listens to a song by a major artist apparently for the first time. I get not being into a band like Rush, System of a Down, or even Pat Benetar. But Bowie? DAVID F-ING BOWIE?
I quote: “Outside of Labyrinth, I know nothing about David Bowie, nor how absolutely iconic he was in the music scene. When I heard that “Space Oddity” coincided with the Apollo 11 moon landing, that just made me super giddy! Time to shatter my childhood illusions!”
Admittedly, there’s something sweet in her nativity, but again, Bowie? (Via Rick J)
I just can’t believe that her reactions are genuine.
“Outside of Labyrinth, I know nothing about David Bowie, nor how absolutely iconic he was in the music scene.”
I’m sorry, but there is no rock big enough for her to live under that would have sheltered her from Bowie for however long she’s been alive. Maybe she has never actually listened to his music before, but to not have any idea how iconic he was?
I just don’t believe her.
Every time that she does a reaction to an artist that has been around for 40 or more years, and says that she hasn’t ever heard of them, I just shake my head in disbelief.
Cmon…really. She’s NEVER heard any Bowie song. Ugh. This is why I never click these links.
The best reactions are black people reacting to Rage Against The Machine.
