Wintersleep Begins Canadian Tour November 15
Halifax indie band Wintersleep begins their Canadian tour on November 15 in Saskatoon. The tour includes 18 dates across the country and supports their latest album, The Great Detachment.
Wintersleep participated in several tours across Canada this summer and supported New York indie band Blonde Redhead on a sold-out tour of the US west coast. Longtime bassist Mike Bigelow left the band on good terms in August and Scott Remila joined the touring line-up.
The band has also recently been nominated for a music video award in the UK for their single “Amerika”. The video uses clips of Donald Trump cut over a burning apocalyptic landscape. The single fared well here in the band’s home country with number one spots on both commercial rock and alternative radio stations, plus over 800K streams on Spotify.
