Depeche Mode is back with a new single, “Ghosts Again.” Listen/watch here.

Less than a year after the sudden death of co-founder Any Fletcher, Depeche Mode will carry on with just Dave Gahan and Martin Gore. A new album, Momento Mori, will be here on March 24. The first single is called “Ghosts Again” and is–wait for it–in a major key. Interesting, considering everything the band has gone through over the last year.

To my ears, it sounds pretty contemporary. A band that’s been around since 1980 still has the power to excite with a new release.

Here’s the full tracklisting.

  1. My Cosmos is Mine
  2. Wagging Tongue
  3. Ghosts Again
  4. Don’t Say You Love Me
  5. My Favourite Stranger
  6. Soul With Me
  7. Caroline’s Monkey
  8. Before We Drown
  9. People Are Good
  10. Always You
  11. Never Let Me Go
  12. Speak To Me

  • So good. Cannot wait for the entire album.

And they said more North American dates to be released soon.

Fingers crossed western Canada gets some.

  • Best musicians for the last almost 50 years. I was and am a big fan since the beginning. ‘Ghosts Again’ is ‘Enjoy the Silence’ material, wonderful melody, sound, background, text and Dave’s and Martin’s voices are just – and still – beautiful and mesmerizing… DM are back, and with what a WOW!… So excited for MEMENTO MORI, although also sad to not have Fletch with them… R.I.P. Andy… Thank you Dave and Martin for keep on going and give us more of your talent we Devotees waited so long for…
